- Volume Management: design, create and manange LVM, Monitoring and troubleshooting
- Software installation support: installation of standard and non standard software.
- System backup and disaster recovery, including supporting common backup softwares like netbackup etc.
- Troubleshooting with regards to day to operational issues including:
- Printing support
- User and group administration
- TCP IP suite support.
- Security auditing and reporting
- Network and network related service configurations
- Application installation and support
- Common application installation like backup software, oracle database etc.
- Common daemon installation like Apache, Tomcat etc.
- AIX installation support including
- HW partition creation using LPAR on hardware like P-Series etc.
- Installation of OS based on corporate needs, ie, imaging, automated installation, network install etc.
- Vendor escalation support: escalating calls to IBM and various application vendors.
